Golden Gate Mothers Group The Golden Gate Mothers Group is a San Francisco-based mothers group that focuses on moms and all things motherhood.
Kid Matter "Collective Wisdom of Parents" KidMatter was started by two moms, Ewa and Lili, who during the course of raising small kids, discovered (sometimes the hard way) that being a parent could be much easier if you can find tips and advice from other parents who have gone through the same thing, whether it is picking a child care or a piano teacher, or planning for a birthday party. Parents face new challenges on a daily basis. Help from fellow parents is not only welcome, but essential. The trick is knowing where to find those tips and advice.
KidMatter is built to be that place -- the place where parents can find tips and advice to make their lives easier! On KidMatter site, parents can share reviews and opinions, ask questions, share ideas for birthday party or weekend activities, or form their own communities such as classroom parents group, sports team or playgroup. Imagine, instead of touring ten preschool open houses, you can read reviews of those schools from local parents first and maybe only need to go to three open houses. Along the way, you can ask questions about how to pick the right preschool on our forum. It's like having a virtual support network. You help other parents by sharing your experience and others help you with new challenges you face.
With KidMatter, we are no longer alone in the journey of parenting.
Lila Guide All of the information included in the lilaguide website and books is written by parents for parents. Tens of thousands of moms across the country help produce this insider's guide to stores, restaurants, service providers, and activities that are a very big part of every parent’s life. And while the guides won't tell you how to change a diaper or how to get by on little or no sleep (that's what grandparents are for), they will tell you what other local parents have learned about what your city has to offer -- including virtually every baby product you need, from cribs to strollers.
SFkids SFkids is created by San Francisco parents and funded by San Francisco's Department of Children, Youth & Their Families, working with their nonprofit partner GoKid.org. SFkids is designed to help every family in every neighborhood of our beautiful City raise healthy, happy children from babies to young adulthood.
